“If you are feeling disheartened, that you are somehow not enough. Set your heart ablaze. Dry your eyes and look ahead, because you may feel like digging your heels in, but the flow of time waits for no one.”- (Demon Slayer/Kimetsu No Yaiba Chapter 66)
Demon Slayer’s manga was released in February 2016, while the anime that succeeded it aired in April 2019. The anime was a smash hit and has been renewed for four seasons and two movies so far.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc was released on Sept. 12, 2025, and became one of the top anime movies to hit theaters in the United States, outselling several American-made movies. In the height of the popularity of this movie, there are two installments left in the trilogy. This has left fans scrambling for more, especially anime-only watchers.
If you are one of the viewers searching for more content on Demon Slayer, or you want the immediate gratification of knowing the ending before 2029, we recommend reading the manga. The Infinity Arc leaves off at Chapter 156, and it provides readers a nice spot to start if they wish to finish the manga from where the anime stops.
To give a general overview of the Demon Slayer/Kimetsu No Yaiba franchise: Tanjiro Kamado is a boy from a family of coal salesmen sent down the mountain to sell coal in town for the winter. When he arrives home the following day, he finds his entire family slaughtered except his sister, Nezuko Kamado, and attempts to save her.
As he carries her down the mountain, it is quickly discovered that she is different; she has turned into a demon. He is allowed to prove himself and gain strength through the Demon Slayer Corps while also searching for a cure to turn his sister back into a human.
In turn, he is also given the mission to defeat the ultimate evil: Muzan Kibutsuji (the creator of all demons). The race against time for a cure, while also fighting for their lives against Muzan’s demons, brings the anticipation up for the manga and provides an enticing ride for finishing the manga.
If you haven’t read the manga, we would recommend that you give it the chance.
If you would like a subscription to an app that has all sorts of manga, for three dollars a month, Shonen Jump has a ton of options in addition to the entire Demon Slayer manga.
