The FBI and IRS searched local Martin restaurant La Cabaña on Thursday, March 12 on a federal search warrant, according to The Weakley County Examiner. Officials confirmed that the investigation was not ICE related and was being conducted by IRS Criminal Investigation and the FBI. 

The UT Martin Department of Public Safety says they have no statement on the ongoing investigation and they are not involved. 

“I have had no communication with the FBI,” said Derrick O’Dell, operations officer of the UT Martin Department of Public Safety.
