Senior farewell: Shanell Hatcher

I can honestly say that my time here at UTM has created the most fun, memorable and harmonious moments of my life.

I have taken so many mental pictures that my brain needs a film refill.

Of all the things I chose to remember, the Baptist Collegiate Ministry has filled most of the album. Through the friends that God has put in my life through the BCM in the last three years, I have grown so much in my walk with Christ. My fellow BCMer’s are always there to support me and lift me up in prayer when the stress of life becomes too much to handle.

I also want to say that my Star WarsĀ loving supervisor and his family have been the sweetest, most loving and understanding humans to ever walk the campus halls.

College life is arduous. Even so, itā€™s incredible to know that there are still such amazing, courteous campus faculty and staff who enjoy working with students and lending a listening ear when times get stressful.

I can honestly say that my toughest class in all my college years has been Broadcast Media Writing with Ms. Henrietta Giles. Though it has been the most challenging class, Ms.Ā Giles has helped fuel my impetus to work harder. In the end, Broadcast Media Writing has become my favorite class because learning challenging, new material is my thirst and strict deadlines are my life.

While my friends, co-workers and professors have been incredibly superb, my greatest memory will always be the day I met my forever love. God could not have given me a more perfectly sweet man (now husband) to get me through this short, rigorous yet exciting chapter of life.

In conclusion, God has played out my college experience exactly how I prayed it would go.

With this, hereā€™s to my next chapter! Adulting, here I come!
