In just under two weeks, UT Martin women’s soccer begin their spring soccer schedule.
With seven matchups on the horizon, all will be held at Skyhawk Soccer Field beginning on Saturday Mar. 7, 2026.
To start the spring season, the Skyhawks welcome the Murray State Racers with history dating back to sep. 27, 2000. In this contest the racers dominated the Skyhawks scoring seven unanswered. All time against the Racers, the Skyhawks are 6-19-4 with the last matchup going to the Racers as they won 2-1 in regulation.
Following Murray State, the Bethel Wildcats make their way to Martin, Tennessee and look to get their first win over the Skyhawks. The Skyhawks are 2-0 all time against the Wildcats with the last contest being a six point victory and a final score of 6-0.
After the Bethel match, the Skyhawks take on the Union Bulldogs. The Bulldogs look to even the score as the Skyhawks are 1-0 in past matchups.
After the matchup with the Bulldogs, the Skyhawks take on three new opponents consisting of the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans, the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers and the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers.
After those contest, the Skyhawks round out the spring season against the Memphis Tigers. History between the Skyhawks and Tigers dates back to Sept. 16, 1998, where Memphis dominated UT Martin 7-1. The Tigers have had the Skyhawks number as they are 12-1 in all time matchups. The Skyhawks one win came on Oct. 4, 2002, where UT Martin won 3-2 at Skyhawk Soccer Field.
In these spring matchups Head Coach Mike Varga looks to work with his returning and incoming athletes.
With all of the games being played at home, the spring schedule gives the Skyhawks a great chance to get reps in as a team, see what different players can do and prepare for the fall season. Playing in front of the home fans at Skyhawk Soccer Field helps the team try new strategies, give younger players more experience, and continue improving under Varga’s leadership.
In the fall the girls went 3-7-9 losing in the first round of the playoffs to the SIUE Cougars in a double overtime match.

- Memphis Tigers – Wednesday Apr. 15, 2026, at 7:45 P.M.
