‘Interstellar’ will take audiences to other worlds

Most well-known for directing titles like The Dark Knight and Inception, Christopher Nolan tackles the science fiction genre with his latest film, Interstellar.

The film follows Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), a man who’s sole concern in life is the safety and well-being of his family. Cooper is a brilliant pilot and engineer in a world that no longer needs people with his skill set. Instead, the world needs farmers to grow crops for a starving human race.

Through several strange occurrences, Cooper and his daughter are lead to NASA headquarters. Cooper is then faced with the seemingly impossible mission of finding a new home for Humanity after learning that Earth is dying. With the help of Dr. Amelia Brand (Anne Hathaway), Cooper travels to planets in a galaxy far away that are the most likely to support the human race.

Interstellar is a very lengthy movie, with a run-time of almost three hours, but there is so much to keep the audience on the edge of their seats during the film. The plot is very intricate, yet very easy to follow. Christopher Nolan did an amazing job of creating a story that will make audiences seriously think but also enjoy immensely. Science fiction fans will definitely enjoy this film. It is very reminiscent of films like 2001: A Space Odyssey and will give audiences a sense of awe and wonder. The film is also visually stunning. The audience will be transported to other worlds that actually feel believable.

The entire cast gives an amazing performance. Matthew McConaughey’s performance is definitely Oscar worthy. McConaughey will make audiences feel all the raw emotion his character feels and will leave audiences in tears. There is also a great chemistry between McConaughey and the rest of the cast, especially Anne Hathaway, who also delivers an amazing performance.

Over all, Interstellar will capture the imagination of audiences everywhere. It’s one of the best science fiction movies in recent years and is definitely a must-see.
